General information
Poster should be clear, allowing viewers to understand everything, so that the author was free from excessive comments.Poster session offers deeper information interchange than traditional presentation section.
Poster sizes
Posters sizes should be formats À1 and À0
Max poster size should not exceed 0,95 sm width x 1,20 m height (approximately format À0).
Poster preparation
Title. The poster presentation title is placed on the top; author name, organization and city are specified. The inscription should be, at least, 2,5 sm height.
Illustrations
Posters can be black-and-white or color. It is recommended to use muffled colors for a background. Illustrations should be clearly visible from a distance, it is important to use clear, sharp countered diagrams. Also each illustration should demonstrate only one or two basic issues, figures should be simple. Basic statements should be clear and laconic.
Remember, that time spent near each poster is defined by a viewer, not the author, as in case of slide presentation or oral presentation.
Each figure or table must have a title, one or two lines printed in a large font, expressing the initial message. Detailed information should be presented in a legend below in a less large font. Since accompanying text to a poster is not supposed, illustration legend must contain the comment which would be in the basic part of the text. It should briefly describe not only the figure, but also conclusions. Details should be brief and should be placed in the end of a legend. The illustrations sequence should be specified by numbers or letters, at least 1,5 sm high, preferably printed fat font. Do not include "Figure"; it is unnecessary and also borrows too much space.
Arrangement
Materials will settle down at mobile stands or boards. Materials it is supposed to arrange in columns, instead of in rows. Introduction should be placed in the left top corner and the conclusion in right bottom, they shoud be printed in a large font.
Careful choice of a photo, equipment, or schematic representation of procedures, can present a significant part of information without text. Viewers usually tend to ignore or long text passages
Posters will be exposed Thursday September, 9th to Friday, September, 10th in foyer of 2 and 3 floors of main SUSU campus. There will be one Poster section a day. The author should be near poster during official session. You will receive materials for installation of your poster at a table of registration (magnets or an adhesive tape), located in exhibition poster zone. Please, do not write on posters stands. Pay attention, that projectors and electric outputs are not accessible in the exhibition zone.
It is supposed, but it not required, that the author brings advertising on a À4 format sheet, representing basics of a poster for interested parties for communication outside. Frequently it is not easy to visit each poster and advertising is one of ways to increase an audience for a poster, and to make easier information interchange. Quantity of advertising sheets is defined by the author. Let to us know if you have any questions on section.
