Development and adaptation of psychological tests

One of the peculiarities of system crisis of psychological testing in Russia is a catastrophically low number of instruments complying with the modern requirements of test quality. Solution to this problem requires major change from the ”handicraft” development of measurement instruments for “personal” scientific and/or practical purposes to professional test development technologies. It is necessary to create conditions for a new profession of test developer to emerge. This profession already exists abroad in large test development and test publishing centers.
Symposium organizers hope to gather and unite professionals genuinely interested in development of psychological tools. We kindly invite contributions from psychologists for whom test development is the core part of their daily work or from those who want to apply quality tools in scientific or practical contexts.
Symposium is planning to consider a broad scope of questions, including:
– Modern technologies of test development and adaptation;
– Test quality requirements;
– New approaches to planning and organization of psychometric check of reliability, validity and test norms;
– Organizational issues in test development projects;
Overcoming legal, economic and social problems in the process and after completion of test development.
- Training and re-training of test developers.
